Adrian & Heather's Wedding - Holton Lee, Wareham, Dorset

Friday 27th September 2013

We receive enquiries both directly and through agencies that we work with. When searching for a live wedding band there is a debate whether to book the band direct or use an agent as both have their advantages. You can read our blog on Booking a live wedding band advice here

We received an enquiry from one of our agents based in Cheshire, for a wedding at the beautiful countryside location of Holton Lee. Having being a guest at Holton Lee in the past I knew the venue provides a great atmosphere and would be perfect for our 7 piece band.

The happy couple, Adrian and Heather, had been impressed with the videos of our 7 piece band, with added trombone, trumpet and saxophone, and wanted us for their big day. The marquee looked superb and the final third had been decked out with a flat wooden area to act as the stage and the dance floor.

Adrian and Heather had two songs in mind for their first dance and finally chose Naomi's version of At Last, a firm favourite for acoustic gigs and first dances.

First Dance Option - At Last

The band played some old classics such as 'Superstition' and 'Express Yourself' mixed with some modern favourites such as 'I Need a Dollar' and 'Forget You' making full use of our brass section. Our set list for the night can be viewed here… Holton Lee Set List

We finished the set with You've Got the Love in time for the Bride and Groom's depart and followed with the best man's playlist for the final hour. Full complements to the staff, the food was amazing and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The brass section were on fine form and we can't wait for their next outing with us. Until next time…
